I don’t have an iLok account-what should I do?

 

To use our plugins, you need an iLok account. Follow the steps below to create an account and download the necessary software:

 

1. Create an iLok Account

  • Visit the iLok Website: Go to www.ilok.com.

  • Sign Up: Click on "Sign Up" to create a new account. Fill in the information, including your email address and password.

  • Verify Your Account: After registering, you will receive an email to verify your account. Follow the instructions in the email to complete the verification process.

 

2. Download and Install iLok License Manager

  • Download: Visit the iLok License Manager page and download the software for your operating system (Windows or macOS).

  • Install: Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

 

What is iLok and why do I need it?

 

  • iLok is a software licensing system used to manage and protect digital licences for software, particularly in the music, audio production, and creative industries. 

  • Developed by PACE Anti-Piracy, iLok allows users to securely store and manage software licences from various manufacturers in one place.

  • In particular, we require customers to have iLok License Manager.

    • iLok License Manager: This is a software application that helps you manage your licences. With it, you can transfer licences between iLok keys, store them in the cloud, or activate them directly on your computer. 

    • It provides an interface to view, transfer, and organise your licences.

  • This is essential for Streaky Audio as it enables us to safely and securely deposit our products into our customers accounts so they can use the plugin they now own.

 

Why Aren’t My Plugins Working?

 

1. Check Your iLok Account

  • Licence Not Visible:

  • If you cannot see the licence in your iLok account, it means the licence was not successfully deposited. In this case, please email us so that we can manually deposit the licence for you.

  • When contacting us, be sure to provide your iLok username and the email address you used to purchase the product.

  • This information is essential for linking your purchase with the correct iLok licence. Omitting these details will delay the process.

  • After we deposit the licence you still find you are having issues, please refer to the steps below.

  • Licence Visible:

  • If you can see the licence in your iLok account, it has been successfully deposited. The issue is likely related to the software or your DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Please follow the steps below.

 

2. Reinstall Your Plugin

  • Uninstall and Reinstall:

  • Completely uninstall and then reinstall the plugin.

  • Installers for the plugins:

 

3. Rescan Plugins in Your DAW

  • iLok Popup Not Appearing:

  • If an iLok popup doesn’t appear when you open your DAW, you will need to rescan for your plugins in your DAW.

  • For instructions on rescanning plugins, refer to your DAW’s manual or search online for guidance for your particular setup.

  • In most cases you need to go to your DAW’s plugin manager settings, search for the plugin, and click “rescan selection.”

What is your refund policy?

 

When purchasing a product from Streaky Audio you are obliged to agree to our terms and conditions. In this document, you will find the following policy regarding refunds:

 

Refund Eligibility:

  • We only offer refunds if the purchased product is defective or fails to function as described.

  • Refunds will be granted upon providing proof that the product is defective.

  • Refunds will not be provided if the customer simply changes their mind or has already downloaded the product.

 

Refund Request Period:

  • Customers must contact us within 30 days of the purchase date to be eligible for a refund.

 

Refund Process:

  • To request a refund, please contact us at hello@streakyaudio.com with your order details and a description of the issue.

  • We will review your request and may ask for proof of the product's malfunction.

  • If we determine that a refund is warranted, we will process the refund within 2-5 working days.

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

 

Why Does My Streaky Audio Account No Longer Work?

  • Transition to iLok

    • As of April 2024, we transitioned the management of our plugins to iLok License Manager.

    • Our previous website, Streaky Audio, has since been taken down.

    • This means that any attempt to access the website, or anything inside your account, will not be possible as the site is now inactive.

  •  Account Access

    • Attempts to reset your password on the Streaky Audio site will not be successful since the site is no longer operational.

  • Download Installers

My Plugins Stopped Working After an Update—What Should I Do?

 

  • Legacy System Issue

    • If you purchased our product before April 2024 and downloaded it from our old system, updating the plugin after this date may cause issues. iLok may not recognize the licence due to the transition.

  • Resolution Steps

    • To resolve this, follow the troubleshooting steps outlined in the section “Why Aren’t My Plugins Working?” above. This will guide you through resolving issues related to licensing and plugin functionality.
